CHANGELOG

What's new.

Stable releases for most users, plus an optional Beta channel for early builds. The main download always follows Stable.

v1.1.0-beta.6BetaOctober 31, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.6

  • Clarify 68 labels and messages with 405 wording updates across the ten interface languages, covering settings, sharing, downloads, music and removal warnings.
  • Remove 10 unused messages left over from older screens.
  • Show the correct removal warning for files stored by DropSpace. External file references retain the warning that the original file will remain untouched.
  • Apply the same settings migrations before loading, updating or resetting UI preferences. Preserve legacy update-channel choices and avoid rewriting unchanged settings on each load.
  • Preserve the expected folder type while its source is missing, allowing the reference to recover when the folder returns.
v1.1.0-beta.5BetaOctober 29, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.5

  • Manage NetEase enhancement from Settings → DLC, grouped consistently under installed or not installed. Music keeps a bottom navigation card with a brief explanation.
  • Fix installation controls becoming unresponsive after removal. Operations show stages, progress, cancellation and errors; forced reinstalls skip redundant pre-install verification.
  • Display the actual installed InfLink-rs version. Check once on the first foreground opening per process and show new versions only inside the enhancement card, without popups or automatic installation.
  • Use light text and controls on Liquid Glass, including after switching from Light Acrylic. Choose Ink glass or Ultra-clear glass in the appearance selector; Acrylic keeps its saved theme.
  • Default glass blur to 2. The former 200% expanded refraction width effect now corresponds to 100%, preserving existing visual settings.
v1.1.0-beta.4BetaOctober 29, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.4

  • The existing island gains an independently implemented GPU liquid-glass material. Background blur, edge refraction, RGB dispersion and a black-to-glass gradient affect only the material behind the original content.
  • Settings include island material, background blur (0–30), refraction (0–400%), expanded refraction width (50–300%), dispersion (0–100), dark overlay (0–200%) and Ink glass, the gradient switch, in all ten UI languages. Width 100% restores the initial edge band; 200% doubles its expanded influence while leaving the compact material unchanged.
  • The requested defaults are liquid glass, blur 1, refraction 100%, expanded width 200%, dispersion 75, dark overlay 0%, and Ink glass on. Resident display and the idle logo default to off. Existing saved preferences are preserved.
  • Four glass refresh tiers are available: Standard (30 fps), High (60 fps), Very high (120 fps), and Ultra (the island monitor's current refresh rate). Standard remains the default. Latest-frame replacement and direct island-region processing reduce stale-frame delay and unnecessary copies without lowering sampling quality. Actual delivery depends on Windows, the display and GPU workload.
  • Acrylic remains selectable and hides the glass controls while retaining their values. Liquid Glass exposes only Liquid Glass material in the appearance selector; switching back restores the saved Acrylic appearance. Unavailable capture or graphics support falls back to the previous material. High contrast, reduced effects, disabled transparency and remote sessions retain their existing accessible fallback behavior.
v1.1.0-beta.3BetaOctober 28, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.3

  • English and Chinese Jay Chou song names can share an explicit, bounded lookup mapping. The bundled table contains 153 song-title pairs recovered from the local Dynamic Notch 2.0.3 (176) package. Search preserves original metadata and fallback queries. Accepting a cross-language result still requires the mapped artist, independent duration evidence and compatible recording credits.
  • Online sources compare up to six admitted candidates in the current result pool instead of stopping at the first usable lyric. The first usable result can still appear progressively while the existing short selection budget runs. Search stays bounded to three terms and the existing source preferences.
  • Candidate selection considers usable word timing, duration closeness and timed-line coverage after recording identity, target-language requirements and source priority. Invalid or overlapping timing cannot gain priority by adding more timestamps.
  • LRCLIB continues from an unusable exact result into bounded search. Duplicate or already-attempted rows do not consume its candidate slots.
  • Failing search and lyric endpoints receive bounded temporary backoff. Manual refresh can retry transient failures; server rate-limit cooldowns remain respected. Normal empty results and caller cancellation do not count as endpoint failures.
v1.1.0-beta.2BetaOctober 26, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.2

  • The independent music window consumes the same word timing as the Island. Timed lyrics fill within each word, including CJK text and wrapped rows. Tracks without word timings retain line highlighting.
  • The flowing background responds to the existing fresh process-loopback signal. No separate audio capture or media observer is created.
  • Inactive lyrics gradually blur after inactivity. Nearby lines remain more readable, farther lines blur more, and text fades at the upper and lower viewport edges. Scrolling or navigating lyrics restores readability; transport, volume, translation and window adjustments preserve the focus effect.
  • Music controls use balanced responsive layouts. Portrait and split lyric layouts match their bottom and side insets; the landscape cover view remains centered. Lyrics and translation controls stay below system volume.
  • All four regular Island pages keep the same size. The music page adapts artwork and spacing to the actual lyric font and available interior, including the largest supported lyric size.
v1.1.0-beta.1BetaOctober 23, 2026

DropSpace v1.1.0-beta.1

  • Find clipboard history, Temporary Space, pinned items, recent files and processing results from the existing global shortcut and Island search. Copy text or file objects, drag files out, or choose the explicitly labeled copy-path action.
  • Enable file relay for folders you choose. DropSpace watches new files in each selected folder's top level, waits until they are readable and stable, and filters temporary downloads and internal resources. It does not scan your disk or import existing files. Recent records support preview, retain and removal without deleting their external originals.
  • Reuse successful ZIP, image conversion/resizing and ordinary download results directly from the Island. Results remain searchable after the processing view closes; watched-file and task-result records merge by path. Failed, cancelled and intermediate outputs are excluded.
  • Open images or plain text in one movable, resizable reference window. It shares the original content record, supports image zoom and long-text scrolling, and stays available when the Island closes. Closing the window only ends viewing.
  • Connect local Agents through a discoverable catalog of 136 commands, a PowerShell client or an optional MCP bridge. Pair once using a random key, then use the saved credential; revoke access from DropSpace settings. The copyable Skill installation prompt works independently of the selected interface language.
v1.0.0StableOctober 22, 2026

DropSpace v1.0.0

  • View cache usage in General settings and the total size of optional packages at the top of the DLC page, including module data and unfinished package downloads.
  • The System Activities settings page and its Windows notification and volume observers are temporarily unavailable. Their implementations remain in the app for a future release.
  • The About page now presents the DropSpace logo, version and installation type in a centered layout.
  • The October 22 logo patch embeds the About image for installed and portable builds. Version remains 1.0.0; existing 1.0 installations need to rerun the updated Setup to receive this patch.
  • Enable automatic update installation in the installed Windows app. Official-source, manifest, size and SHA-256 checks remain enforced for every installer.
v0.3.2-beta.7BetaOctober 19, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.7

  • Adds a dedicated Keyboard shortcuts settings page. Global and main-window commands are clearly separated, editable by pressing the desired combination, and saved immediately after confirmation. Fixed context controls are listed separately.
  • Reports unavailable or conflicting global shortcuts instead of silently ignoring registration failure. Cancelling recording restores the previous registration. Main-window shortcut changes persist and take effect without restarting.
  • Removes internal dropspace.sample entries from the consumer catalog and UI, including stale catalog records. The DLC page has one refresh action for installed components and official module metadata.
  • Marks .dropspace-downloads as a Windows hidden working folder during download and recovery, including an existing default download folder. Resume data stays intact. Windows can still show it when hidden items are enabled.
v0.3.2-beta.6BetaOctober 19, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.6

  • Uses a centered 20-DIP system transfer icon with balanced spacing and the native subtle-button hover treatment. The existing transfer panel, activity badge and accessible label remain.
  • Keeps compact music layout in consistent fractional DIPs so fitting lyrics are not mistakenly treated as overflowing at fractional display scaling.
  • Retains the preceding lyric's scroll position during timed gaps and avoids resetting unchanged text metrics on unrelated root-size notifications. Real long-line scrolling and island animations remain enabled.
v0.3.2-beta.5BetaOctober 18, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.5

  • Removes the reintroduced widget row/column NumberBoxes and restores the Beta 3 interaction: drag to position, drag back to the library to remove, and shape buttons to resize.
  • Preserves Beta 4 position retention during queued resizing, Undo snapshots and asynchronous error ownership.
  • Removes the internal dropspace.sample lifecycle/UI fixture from the online and bundled DLC catalogs and prevents its registration for future public distribution. Its historical Release is retained as a recoverable draft; installed user data and real DLC capabilities are preserved.
v0.3.2-beta.4BetaOctober 17, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.4

  • Adds timer duration presets and reset actions, accurate pause/resume timing, accessible native controls and consistent Fluent widget icons.
  • Adds one-based widget row/column editing, preserves the latest position during queued resizing, and prevents older layout errors from replacing newer feedback.
  • Improves first island presentation, retires interrupted pointer/hold actions, and lets an ordinary system close dismiss the island while preserving reopening.
  • Protects collection navigation, paging and selection from stale results; collapsed batch members no longer remain actionable through hidden selection. Adds Ctrl+L as a search shortcut.
  • Retains clipboard card identity during refresh, restores failed pin feedback, and suppresses errors from retired presentations. Makes cancelled download restoration retryable.
v0.3.2-beta.3BetaOctober 17, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.3

  • Measures compact lyrics on their rendered text elements, includes a two-DIP inset
  • Clears old offsets during text/layout changes and waits for the existing island
  • Uses consistently centered 16-DIP Fluent icons in download buttons with shared

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.2

  • Repairs media discovery when a session initially lacks its source identity, keeps native
  • Adds native device-send progress and cancellation that survive closing the management
  • Adds management of active Nearby links with copy, QR display, revocation and expiry.
  • Protects the eight-second unpin Undo window from concurrent clipboard retention, including
  • Prevents stale file checks, relinks and card asset work from overwriting newer items;
v0.3.2-beta.1BetaOctober 8, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.2-beta.1

  • Adds a separate optional feature-module layer with interface/capability version admission,
  • The host renders declared pages, text/boolean settings and named actions. Module Island content
  • Supplies a real separate benign module and reusable worker/resource/package template. No new
  • Preserves user module data on uninstall and records locked cleanup honestly. v1 rejects
  • Migrates a manual website language from history when storage really becomes writable, preserves
v0.3.1-beta.19BetaOctober 7, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.19

  • Add English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian interfaces to the App and official website. Language menus display native names, and automatic selection follows the ordered system or browser language preferences with an English fallback.
  • Save the interface language and the existing Simplified Chinese / English lyric translation target independently. Preserve an existing user's effective target on upgrade. Interface language changes update interface text without restarting lyric translation.
  • Give each official website content page one URL shared by all interface languages. Remember manual language choices, preserve old English and Simplified Chinese links, and retain usable English content without JavaScript.
  • Maintain new release summaries, release notes and website version highlights in English across every interface language.
  • Add a shared language catalog and lightweight completeness gate for App and website resources, including source/translation fingerprints, placeholders, resource references, packaged languages and explicit content exceptions. Document the affected-text update workflow for future releases.
v0.3.1-beta.18BetaOctober 7, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.18

  • Add Island appearance: Follow / Light / Dark, default Follow. Follow uses the existing WinUI Windows app-appearance source, including Windows Custom mode. Light and Dark stay fixed. The setting applies immediately, survives restart, and leaves the main settings window, music artwork and glow preferences independent.
  • Add Island content priority: Music / Temporary Space, default Music. Compact and expanded presentations share the same default when files and playing music coexist. Available content remains usable alone. User-selected pages survive passive lyric, player and timer refreshes; unavailable content falls back, and changing priority applies immediately. A drag temporarily exposes Files without replacing the user's page choice.
  • Show No matching lyrics / 无匹配歌词 in the App lyrics card when a completed lookup finds no match, even if another source fails or times out. All-request failures retain the retry message and provider diagnostics.
  • Integrate PR #107's version-neutral bilingual website requirements/FAQ, PR #108's five Ubuntu 26.04 production jobs, and PR #109's immutable Node 24 release-action pin.
  • Preserve old fixed Light/Dark island appearance during upgrade by migrating the former main-window preference once. New installations and old System preferences use Follow.
v0.3.1-beta.17BetaOctober 7, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.17

  • Move paging, database initialization and affected count, pin, file-state and file-intake operations off their calling thread while preserving write admission order, transactions, cancellation and durable commit tails.
  • Coalesce music-island presentation work, stop scheduling frames after the parent surface becomes hidden, prepare current content before first geometry and reuse the current animation-preference snapshot.
  • Notify media-derived properties and commands only when their dependencies change. Keep track/session notifications, pause/resume presentation, lyric identity and language updates.
  • Release each finished download run's cancellation source after its callbacks settle, retaining history, retry behavior, early shutdown cancellation and observable callback failures.
  • Avoid the extra geometry refresh queued during synchronous first-frame preparation. Preserve the existing multi-monitor dismissal reconciliation.
v0.3.1-beta.16BetaOctober 6, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.16

  • Add bundled offline whole-track language identification with fastText lid.176.bin. The original lyric body is submitted once as a single sample; language identification uses CPU and does not require a separate download.
  • Skip AI when the original is already in the app language. Otherwise, any valid provider translation in the target language disables AI for the entire track, including untranslated gaps.
  • Apply the same decision to model resolution, queueing, progressive results, final display and cache reads/writes. Late provider translations restore provider content and gaps; stale results cannot cross tracks, candidates or app-language changes.
  • Retire the former per-line admission and gap-filling policy. Eligible tracks retain the existing Hy-MT2 models, prompt, sampler and progressive per-line translation.
  • 修复已有目标语言歌词译文被 AI 混入的问题。内置 lid.176.bin,离线使用 CPU 对整首原文识别一次,无需首次使用下载或安装额外组件。
v0.3.1-beta.15BetaOctober 6, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.15

  • Preserve valid native target-language translations at admission and cache/progress/final publication boundaries. Frozen AI output must still match the current source version and repeated row occurrence.
  • Improve contextual Chinese/English row admission without changing the fixed model prompt, and retain full performer and recording identity safeguards.
  • Stabilize slider readout columns and edit ownership, use independent lyric-width unlimited wording, and apply zero-byte cache policy immediately after successful settings persistence.
  • Retain paused music content through the saved hide deadline. Finish the existing hide animation before native hiding, retire stale completion callbacks, obey the idle Logo preference and restore independent two-second file-operation acknowledgements.
  • Preserve confirmed instrumental fallback evidence. Separate completed-download cleanup from transfer failures and retain retry ownership when download history is removed.
v0.3.1-beta.14BetaOctober 6, 2026

DropSpace v0.3.1-beta.14

  • Visible idle capsules open Files immediately, including empty workspaces. A new manual open retires stale hide deadlines and dismissal callbacks.
  • File capsules show the official transparent logo, centered filename or item count and the original chevron. A separate saved idle-logo toggle defaults to off.
  • Visible islands maintain topmost placement over ordinary desktop windows without stealing focus. Hidden windows are not awakened by this recovery.
  • Eight native sliders retain their documented limits and units. Lyric width has a separate unlimited mode and monitor/DPI bounds; zero GB disables disk-cache reads and writes while retaining existing files and live translations.
  • Pausing uses the shared hide deadline; repeating pause does not extend it. Settings editing respects Enter, blank clicks, Escape and IME composition, and shortcuts no longer leave a page tooltip behind.
Beta channel
Beta releases remain available through GitHub Releases and the optional in-app Beta channel. They are never the default website download.
